Dispute Avoidance, Review or Adjudication Board ('DB') Experience
Over a long and busy career, Barry Tozer has gained invaluable experienced in a range of construction, engineering, development and infrastructure projects including international projects in Asia and Oceania. He has more than thirty-five years of practical technical and contractual experience in the interpretation of project documents and in the resolution of design and construction issues and contract disputes.
Barry has previously served as a member of ten DRB/DABs in Australia and currently appointed to one DAB in New South Wales as Sole member.
In addition, Barry has been a Sole DB member on six FIDIC Contracts in the Pacific Islands and Papua New GuineaThis included the smallest contract (AU$1.4 million) with a DAB worldwide.
Barry is a Foundation member, current NSW committee member and Treasurer of Dispute Resolution Board Foundation, Region 3, (Australasia) and is qualified as a FIDIC Certified Adjudicator (International)
His continuing professional development in dispute board procedures and practice has been enhanced by participation in and delivery of advanced training workshops and attendance at conferences with DRBF worldwide since 2011.
He has published a paper on Dispute Boards in Australia (ACLN #164, Sep-Oct 2015, at p. 6)
